I would like to encourage children from years 5 and 6 to work on projects at home. To do this two things are needed. Firstly Dropbox which allows sharing of files in a cloud. Dropbox is like having your home computer and the school computer on a network. Secondly you will need the software to open the files such as Scratch.
How to Install Dropbox
Let me know that you require Dropbox
I will send you an email which contains a link to install Dropbox/Sync. If you download Dropbox from the link then the school gets more space which we desperately need.
Once you have Dropbox installed I will then send you a link to your child’s school folder. Anything they do at school they can open at home. They can drop extra work in for other subjects and open these at school.
Please note: If your child drags Dropbox folders they can be put inside other folders and even deleted. You can undo the change by logging onto the Dropbox website . If you right click on the Dropbox icon in your system try you can then click on Dropbox.com
Do always save a backup copy of your child’s dropbox folder on your home PC…just in case! The Golden rule is that every file should be backed up at least once!
